About Jaine Rose
I am an artist, a mother, a witch, and an aromatherapist, living happily among a wonderful community in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
I spend my days honouring Mother Earth through my work and my garden, and my growing family. I have an art and ceramics background, as well as a strong interest in birth and aromatherapy. I have worked as a professional aromatherapist for nearly 10 years, and run a small practise from home.
I find inspiration for my paintings in many things. I love Starhawk's Goddess chants of the '70s and '80s, the magical festivals in the summer, the beautiful women in my Women's Circles, and I find I am continually amazed by the unusual and lovely people I meet on my journey.
I feel excited and privileged to be alive in this time of the "great turning", an awakening of our human impact on our planet, with a chance to create more sustainable and peaceful ways of living together. I am currently working on the Earth Pathways Diary - a moon diary for this land with a group of wonderful women including Hannah Willis, Glennie Kindred, Deborah Davis and Lucille Valentine. It will be a celebration of moon rhythms and Women's art, in this time of greening and descent to a low carbon lifestyle.
Meanwhile I live and breathe the beauty of the Goddess in all things. |
